Easter Activities at the Woodmark Hotel

Spring has sprung in Kirkland Washington, and that means that Easter is right around the corner.  The Woodmark Hotel is the perfect place to spend Easter weekend, with fun for the entire family. 

Spring has sprung in Kirkland Washington, and that means that Easter is right around the corner.  The Woodmark Hotel is the perfect place to spend Easter weekend, with fun for the entire family.  On Saturday April 7th, the Woodmark and N2 publishing are hosting the second annual Easter Egg Scramble on the Olympic Terrace lawn.  250 kids will enjoy hunting for candy filled eggs, and even get to meet the Easter Bunny himself.   Easter Sunday kicks off “brunch season” with both the Beach Café and bin on the lake serving up holiday specials.  The Beach Café’s Chef Matthew Steffen has created a brunch menu that’s sure to please…including a seafood station, make your own omelets, whole roasted pork loin, Salmon, and lamb chops.   Chef Dylan Giordan of bin on the lake is serving up scrumptious plates for serious spring noshing, with a 3 course menu that’s not to be missed.  Entrees include a Dungeness Crab Omelet, Amaretto Brioche French Toast, Ninety Farms Lamb Sausage, and even Bacon Beignets!

Woodmark Hotel Culinary Team on the Move in Seattle

Our culinary team at the Woodmark Hotel has been on the move, participating in two major chef-centric events this month. 

The Woodmark’s Executive Chef Brian Cooper treated hundreds of hungry foodies to his Scallops wrapped in Spanish chorizo with a saffron corn jus at last week’s Kirkland Uncorked.   This festival is a regional showcase of art, food and wine on the picturesque shores of Lake Washington in Kirkland, Washington taking place every July. Benefiting the Hope Heart Institute, Kirkland Uncorked features artist showrooms, a boat show, and dog modeling contest in the Promenade and a Tasting Garden with grilling demonstrations, wine tasting and live music.

Meanwhile, bin on the lake’s Chef de Cuisine R. Paul Hyman was cooking up lamb at Burning Beast.  Known in the northwest as “the world’s best feast in a field” this unique event features more than a dozen of Seattle’s finest chefs preparing sustainably raised meats and fish using humankind’s most basic tool – fire.  

Those that want a more conventional Seattle dining experience can find Chef Hyman’s fish focused menu at bin on the lake, and Chef Cooper’s fresh familiar favorites at the Beach Café, next to the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland, on the shores of Lake Washington.

Woodmark Clambake on the Lakephoto

The Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland, Washington is serving up “Clams and Hams” at our first ever Woodmark Clambake on the Lake to mark the end of summer on September 23rd.

The Woodmark’s entire culinary team, including Executive Chef Brian Cooper, bin on the lake’s Chef Paul Hyman, and the Beach Café’s Chef Matthew Steffen will be treating guests to traditional clambake fare, and local microbrews.  The menu includes a trio of seafood stews, Mac and Jack battered Halibut, and staying true to his roots, Chef Hyman will be serving “la Cajachina” (whole roasted pig). Guests will enjoy live music by Renegade Stringband, while they nosh on savory fare, insuring that this will be an end of summer event to remember. Net proceeds from the Woodmark Clambake on the lake will benefit Hopelink, a local east side organization that serves homeless and low-income families and children with disabilities. Pruchase your tickets for this fun end of summer event
