Executive Chef Matt Steffen


Matthew Steffen is Executive Chef at the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland, Washington. Matthew's love of farm fresh flavors is evident throughout the variety of cuisine highlighted in banquet and catering menus, in addition to the signature menu at Beach Café waterfront restaurant. His inspired "twists" on favorite signature dishes keep guests coming back for more.

Chef Matthew's career in the culinary world has taken him all over the country, most recently in Arizona where he spent time in the kitchens of some of the most exclusive resorts in the area, including The Grill at the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Flying V Bar and Grill at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tuscon, and most recently the Grill at the Wigwam Golf Resort and Spa in Litchfield. Chef Matthew also took his talent out into the community, participating in notable chef events such as "Flavors of Tucson", "Phoenix Cooks", and even took first place in "Desert Diamond Casino Chili Cook-off".

Outside the kitchen, Chef Matthew can be found enjoying time with his wife and three kids, hiking, biking or shopping at local Northwest farmer's markets. When cooking at home, Chef loves to grill with a cold Mac and Jack in hand.
